If you haven’t already, it’s probably time to start thinking about what you’re going to do to treat your loved on this Valentine’s Day. To give you a bit of a helping hand, we’ve compiled the top 5 restaurants to book a special Valentine’s meal in Lichfield.

Where? Swinfen Hall Hotel , WS14 9RE.

When can you book a table? Friday 14th February and Saturday 15th February.

How much? £58 per person and £88 per person to include wine.

What can you expect? A six-course gourmet tasting menu in the very finest of settings with crystal glass and Wedgwood china. You’ll be greeted on arrival with a glass of champagne and canapés. Courses on the menu include a roulade of hot and cold cooked salmon, roast rib and braised daube of Scotch beef and duo of chocolate with passion fruit.

Where? Ristorante Sorrento, WS13 6PR.

When can you book a table? Friday 14th February.

How much? £29.50 per person.

What can you expect? A delicious three course Italian menu of freshly prepared meals. Dishes include tiger prawns in a garlic chilli olive oil and tomato sauce and fresh pasta stuffed with aubergines and cheese served in cream tomato sauce.

Where? Ego, WS13 6PW.

When can you book a table? Wednesday 12th February – Saturday 15th February

How much? £25.95 per person.

What can you expect? A special four course meal of Mediterranean cuisine, starting with an amuse buche, followed by a selection of starters including sautéed asparagus, and mains such as pan roasted lamb rump. A choice of desserts includes classic crème brulee. A selection of belini’s are on a 2 for 1 offer at £6.95 until 7pm.

Where? Netherstowe House, WS14 0JR.

When can you book a table? Friday 14th February to Sunday 16th February.

How much? £65 per person on Friday and Saturday, £85 per person on Sunday.

What can you expect? Choose from the St. Valentine’s Cupid menu available on Friday and Saturday, and the St Valentine’s Gourmet dinner available on the Sunday – all served in the award winning fine dining restaurant. The St. Valentine’s Cupid menu will comprise of seasonal dishes from the Head Chef with a choice of starters such as chicken and leek terrine with asparagus veloute followed by a sorbet, mains like 8oz fillet of Staffordshire beef with oxtail ravioli and truffled potato and desserts like caremelised apple tarte tatin with calvados ice cream. The Gourmet dinner on the Sunday is a set six course menu which follows champagne and canapés and includes such dishes as beetroot mousse, goats cheese and walnut, roast duck breast, sprouting broccoli and pickled carrot and passion fruit curd with rhubarb and almond.

When can you book a table? Wednesday 12th February – Saturday 15th February

How much? £15.95 per person for 2 courses, £19.95 Per Person for three courses. 20% off any bottle of wine when booked for the 12th or 13th.

What can you expect? Enjoy a special Valentine’s menu of hearty food in an idyllic countryside pub setting. Dishes on offer include oak smoked chicken liver pate, Moroccan nut roast and rhubarb crème brulée.
